In the rain
It rained all the way up to Little Blake on Friday evening. It rained nearly all day Saturday.
That was dreary and allowed for great relaxation. Nancy worked and I slept and read and wandered about the neighborhood.
There are still flowers blooming.
Sunday morning the sun dawned bright and wonderful.

Finally, back at the lake
I finally got back to the shores of the lake.
Three days away from the phone, the newspapers, and the Internet. Even though I killed the battery in the car. Even though Saturday's rain sent me home early. I sat and looked at the lake. I laid in the hammock and looked at the lake. I walked out on the dock at midnight and looked at the stars.
So why is it that I had more time to get to Polk County when I worked for someone else than I do when I work for myself?
