Opening Sidetrack

I got to Sidetrack on Thursday afternoon. Just in time to do some planting and some cleaning. It's called opening ceremonies.

I also slept some and relaxed a lot. I read the first half of a good book. It's a gorgeous place to do all those things. Beauty's name is Sidetrack.

Oh, as for recharging my batteries, I had to do that again too. Last fall, I left the parking lights on in the garage overnight. This time I left the ignition on after closing the windows. Both thoughtless acts drained the battery. John rescued me with a jump last fall. Friday morning, Skip loaned me his OLD Montgomery Ward battery charger. (As he helped me hook it up, I slapped my forehead upon realizing we have a battery charger of our own.)

Everything looks to be in good shape.

The neighbors are all accounted for and in good shape too.

The eagles have left us some offerings in the grass.

The water level is very low.

The hostas are rising and Herman's Pride is gloriously healthy.

After planting 4 dozen little green things, mopping floors, and Swiffering lots, I got the dock in.

'bout that time it was time to head home.

Wonderful, wonderful
