Wonderful and now stuck at home

We opened the cabin last weekend, but we won't make it back this weekend. We did a little cleaning, put in the dock, planted some flowers, and

enjoyed the bloodroot that were blooming in the terrace, the trillium that were decorating the woods, and the marvelous view. I spent a lot of time just looking at the lake and the sky and the trees and the geese and the eagles and the humming birds.

Lake level news

Got this from Gary on Big Blake last night:

I heard this week that the dam has washed out at Sherrards again, this time catastrophically. Apparently the water has gone around the side of the dam now and washed out half the dam.

The DNR has agreed to build a permanent solution but it’s going to cost the lake association $400K or so. Worse they insist that they control the dam and the flow.
Apparently the water levels are down about half a meter or so.

Any other reports?
