Fall's Arrived

The big freeze hasn't arrived at Little Blake yet, but fall has. Sunday's weather was the key: wind from the northwest; dark low clouds alternating with bright sun. Lawns turned brown by fallen pine needles and leaves. Boats, boat lifts, and docks coming out of the water. I raked and took in the dock's decking, cut down some dead trees and read. It was thoroughly enjoyable -- as usual.

I went looking for things to photograph and ended up looking at small, mundane things this time.

Beautiful September Ending

The last weekend in September was absolutely gorgeous. I was so inspired I even did a few licks of work on the deck, in the Willie, and in the yard. Mostly I relaxed and enjoyed the sun, blue skies, and the changing colors.

See for yourself.
