Thursday at Sidetrack
I edited another chapter and another practice test. I need to send them off this morning.
Two juvenile bald eagles were playing in the air space over the front lawn and the shore line yesterday afternoon. I wondered if they were looking at the yellow mushrooms in the lawn. Then I wondered if there was a dead fish on the shoreline. After they were done swooping through the tree branches and down toward the edge of the lake, I went down and looked. No dead fish. It's hard to imagine that the mushrooms held any interest for the eagles. Maybe they were just playing with the tall weeds growing at the water line.
And when the sun went down, I noticed how far south the sun had gone. The sun was going down at the left edge of the picture. That "notch" in the tree line on the right side of the picture is where the sun was going down in July. Ah, fall.
You will notice that I removed the decking from the dock in preparation for hauling it ashore for the winter.
