Quick fixes
Finally, after a busy week, I got back to Sidetrack. (The rest of the family came too.)
And the work is done on restoration. New railing on the south side deck. New supports and new benches on the front. New roofing on the lake side and a new skylight. We also went for skirting around the deck, and it looks pretty classy — especially since the ferns and day lilies were crushed by falling trees and trampled by carpenters.
The weather has changed from tropical to early fall in three days. The high temperature on this windy, rainy day was below 60°F (15°C). The heat is on in the cabin, and the low tonight will be around 45° (7°C). Ah, but Saturday is supposed to be warmer. We'll see.
